McIntosh County Georgia Sheriff Stephen Jessup

I was born and raised in Dublin,GA., and am a honor graduate from The University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science degree.
I moved to McIntosh County in 1978 as this county's first Leisure Services director. In 1979, I married Nora Howell and we have two children: Jessica, who is a Doctor of Pharmacy and Clete who recently graduated Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville.
Since 1984, I have owned and operated convenience stores. I have also served 20 years as a McIntosh County Commissioner (District 2).

I began serving as Sheriff of Mcintosh County January 1,2009. I am deeply committed to providing for safety to the citizens of  McIntosh County regardless of race, age, sex, nationality, religion, or political preference. I will always strive to keep a high standard of professionalism among our officers and administrators.
